Initially, it is about a group of
7 friends that end up being hunted down by a serial killer that
is administering each individuals death by his or her deepest
fear. It is also, on the flip side, about the growth of one
woman in her struggle to stay alive; as well as, find the strength
she lost long ago Please tell me about your character, Misty? Misty, is the middle child of 3 sisters. Being that the youngest sister died the year before, Misty became the strength of the remaining two. She is also a fun and energetic young lady with an uncanny will to move on and grow; she is having to DRAG her older sibling with her...out of the pity pot and on with the rest of her life. Misty is Jessie's "last hope." What challenges did you face in playing Misty, if any? Challenges, finding HER fear inside of me. Did you do any special preparing for your role? I spent a great deal of time with Brandy Little (Jessie) building that special bond, including our own private meditation. It was wonderful! What did you bring to the role of Misty? I brought, if I am answering the question right, a new energy...or actually a different energy. With Misty being the youngest (as well as myself) it was fresh and naive in a way. How would you define the relationship between Misty and Jessie? They have a very close bond that only sisters can have, especially after loosing one of the "tribe." They have a higher sense of togetherness...be it out of fear or strength. Misty is a bit younger than those of the friends. How would you define Misty's relationship to the group of friends? They all take a little bit of the
protector role, I believe. Letting her do the How did the rehearsals go? Rehearsals were a great deal of fun as well as a learning experience for me. I don't mean just the lines; being able to watch the process and take that experience in for further use. You spent several long nights on location. How was that? It was great! I was tired, but always enjoy learning...just keep me moving and I am happy! It also didn't hurt that I was already used to working nights. What was your favorite aspect of filming, American Nightmare? I don't think I had a favorite...it was the overall experience. Ask me that question when I am used to the "movie" life...maybe by then I will have pinpointed a favorite. For now, I love it all! Keep 'em coming! |
