DEBBIE
ROCHON AS "JANE TOPPAN"
Debbie Rochon leads the cast of American Nightmare as Jane Toppan, a ruthless killer playing a game of cat-and-mouse. Based upon two real-life serial killers, Jane Toppan is an "any woman." She could be the girl next door, the lady smiling at you in the restaurant, or the kind woman you talked with in the bookstore. But as the game begins, she becomes the hunter - cool and calculating - until she eventually turns cold and ruthless in her killing.
Debbie Rochon began her acting career as a teenager in the cult-classic Ladies and Gentlemen...The Fabulous Stains with Laura Dern and Diane Lane. Since that time, Debbie has appeared in more than forty films and graced the pages of nearly all genre magazines around the world. As an actress, Debbie gained critical acclaim for her diversity of featured roles including Ness, the troubled nurse in Tromeo & Juliet; as Sharon, the helpless hostage in the Jan Michael Vincent movie Abducted 2: The Reunion; and as Cyclops, a futuristic assasin in Split.
Debbie received her training from the top establishments in New York including the Lee Strasberg Institute, the Michael Chekhov Studio and the Herbert Berghof Studio.
BRANDY
LITTLE AS "JESSIE McCLAIN"
Brandy Little heads the cast of friends as Jessie, a woman haunted by the murder of her sister and the primary target of Jane's deadly game.
Brandy gained recognition for her role as a cruel high school student in Andy Anderson's film, Detention. Brandy also had the lead role in Tucked Away as Janus, a down to Earth, independent woman caught in the hurricane of her fiance's hidden past, and a supporting role in the hilarious robbery caper Bingo Nights as Bridget, a flirtatious trouble maker. Brandy has appeared in a variety of television shows including Days of Our Lives, Walker Texas Ranger, Crime Stoppers and D! on TV.
Rediscovering a life long dream, Brandy left the University of Texas at Dallas during her junior year as a Business major. Instead, she went to KT Studios to pursue "a dream of acting I've had ever since I was a little girl." While at KD Studios, she received an Associate of Applied Arts degree in 1996.
JOHNNY
SNEED AS "WAYNE"
Johnny Sneed takes on the emotionally challenging role of Wayne, a friendly, down-to-earth man who must face his love for Jessie, and the fears Jane Toppan waits to deliver upon his friends.
A skilled film and theater actor, Johnny appeared most recently as the lead in Moonies for Hosack Films. He has also been featured in prominent roles in 75 Degrees in July for director Hyatt Bass, and Falling Hard for director Matt Kurtz. Johnny has also appeared in dozens of theater productions, industrial films and commericals. Johnny has received his training from such coaches as Michele Condrey, Randy Bennett and Tony Sepulveda. He holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from University of Mississippi Law School.
CHRIS
RYAN AS "CALIGARI"
Figuring out the role of American Nightmare's fearsome DJ hasn't been difficult for Chris Ryan: he is a professional Disc Jockey.
Each early weekday morning, Chris Ryan is the host of KEGL's morning show, the top rated rock station in Dallas/Fort Worth. With a unique flair for words, a booming voice, and a dark, dry wit, Chris was the perfect choice for playing the dark presence haunts its way through the American Nightmare. As Caligari, Chris becomes a puppetmaster of sin and fear, whose sarcastic and flamboyant on-air personality lends the perfect sadistic teasing the film's characters.
ROBERT
McCOLLUM AS "TONY"
Robert McCollumm plays Tony, a fun, free-spirit man who balances his life between a wife he loves dearly and the group of friends he has known his whole life.
Robert McCollum is making his feature
film debut in American Nightmare. Robert starred in the independent
horror short "15 Minute Tape" which caused quite a stir
at the 2000 No Dance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. However,
his main focus has been and remains improv comedy. After training
and later joining Dallas' Lone Star Comedy, McCollum and his wife-to-be,
Kristin, left to join The Neopolitan Syndicate. They later helped
form the Loop, and the Texclectic Radio Hour (and a Half). Robert
is a cast member of PUNCH DRUnK,
a dark cable-access comedy show that has become an underground
success in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A licensed stock broker
by trade, Robert is also a working commercial actor, best known
as "Elliot's Man", the spokesperson for Elliot's Hardware.
His mamma is so proud.
KRISTIN
McCOLLUM AS "CYNTHIA"
Kristin McCollum combines a flair for comedy with a gentle personality for her role of Cynthia, a concerned and loving wife and the comedic stitch in the group of friends.
A veteran of the improvisational comedy stage, Kristin McCollum has appeared in such films as Only in America, Remote Controlled and Forever. She also has stretched her commercial acting talents for the Texas Lottery, Pearl Vision, Time Warner Cable and Tony Roma's, to name a few. When Walker, Texas Ranger needed a French speaker, they called her. But her passion will always be improvisation. She is currently in three different improv groups - the Neopolitan Syndicate, Punch Drunk and Dr. Paul Slavens' Texclectic Radio Hour (and a Half) - working on a variety of styles from long forms to musical improvisation to all out free form slam bangs.
KENYON
HOLMES AS "BRUCE"
Perfectly balancing the contrasting nature of Bruce, Kenyon Holmes brings a realistic aire to a character that hides his friendly and caring nature with a streetwise and arrogant mask.
Though acting for only a year, Kenyon Holmes has appeared in a variety of films and videos. Among these are New Kansas for 12 Promises Productions, The Gathering for Jazzy Inc/Pathway Productions, and Hall of Mirrors for Innuendo Films. Holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas, Kenyon received a variety of academic and athletic honors. Mostly notably, he was all-conference in track for pole vaulting.
HEATHER
HAASE AS "MELANIE"
Audiences will find themselves breaking out in goosebumps as Heather Haase gives one of the most chilling and terrifying performances in American Nightmare as Melanie.
Having recently called it quits on her career as a corporate attorney, Heather Haase is very happy to make her feature film debut in American Nightmare. In her first year in the industry, Heather has appeared as the female lead in the dramatic short films Interrupted for director Jason McAffee and New Atlantis for Taylor Garvin, where she played the headstrong daughter and key witness for a military hero standing trial for treason. Heather can currently be seen showing off her comedic skills as a regular cast member in the cable-access comedy sketch series Voodoo Plastic Arm, two-time Crystal Award winner and winner of the Dallas Observer's Viewer's Choice Award.
REBECCA
STACEY AS "MISTY McCLAIN"
Rebecca Stacey makes her film debut in the role of Misty, the sister to Jessie and a vital element in the deadly game being played by Jane Toppan.
A talented and versatile singer from
Austin, Texas, Rebecca Stacey began acting as a young girl, working
as a reporter for the Houston based, KPRC, "Kids Show."
Having acted in various independent fantasy and documentary film
shorts, Rebecca entered the entertainment field dancing and singing
her way through such productions as Oklahoma, For the Boys, A
Chorus Line, and My Fair Lady. In 1996, Rebecca became a full-time
musician and singer, eventually opening a concert for Meredith
Brooks in 1998 while working on her first album. Rebecca can currently
be seen in Merle Haggard's latest video, "Motorcycle Cowboy."
She has also graced the cover of "RAGE"
magazine (3/97), and appeared in the Galveston, Corpus Christi
and Bryan/College Station papers.
KIMBERLY MORGAN AS "TRISHA McCLAIN"
With innocence and honesty, Kimberly Morgan brings a warmth to the role of Trisha; a nurse student whose death ignites the killer's imagination for twisted games.
Only 19, Kimberly Morgan has built an impress resume in all avenues of entertainment. She is a member of the International Thespian Society, S.T.A.G.E. and The Actor's Place. She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions, commericals, and supporting television appearances. Later this year, she will be appearing in Robert Altman's Dr. T & The Women.
SCOTT
PHILLIPS AS "RICK"
Having simply walked in to the auditions on a whim, Dallas theater star Scott Phillips perfectly captured the Seattle-esque nature of Rick, the owner of a coffee house and the "adopted" uncle of the cast.
Scott came to Texas via Northern California where he was Associate Artistic Director with Sonoma County Rep. His stage credits include One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, A Streetcar Named Desire, True West, Othello, King Henry V and Hamlet. He has directed productions of Richard II, That Championship Season, The Birthday Party and Reckless. Scott's film credits include Ferndale, In Pursuit of Blue Skies and the psychological-thriller, The Pick.
HAYDEN
TWEEDIE AS "DEANNA"
New to cinema, Hayden Tweedie brings a refreshing and genuine talent to her role of Deanna, a young girl who becomes the pawn in Jane Toppan's deadly game.
Hayden Tweedie has been hooked on acting since her first play at CATS theatre when she was four, where she rushed off stage squealing,"Can I do it again?" Since then, she has been in numerous plays, including her latest lead roles in Thumbelina and The Little Engine That Could. Hayden has done several commercials,industrial spots,and an SMU film project. She is a member of S.T.A.G.E., Kitten Company touring group (from CATS theatre), and Joy Kids Choir.
BRINKE
STEVENS AS "LISA"
Brinke Stevens joins the cast as Lisa, the mother of a young girl that will become a pawn in the killer's game.
Brinke Stevens first gained fame in the early Eighties through the exploding straight-to-video bfilm market. It didn't take her long to become a Scream Queen Legend as she starred in such movies as The Nightmare Sisters and Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. She has continued her career by starring in such later films as The Haunting Fear and Teenage Exorcist.
Skilled in many areas, Brinke is a journalist, author, comic book creator, model, actress, screenwriter and producer. Currently, she will be seen in Fred Olen Ray's "Sideshow" for Full Moon Pictures, and will be starring in and producing "Buried Nightmares" from her own script.
